Experienced strategist and programme manager
Emily has nearly 20 years’ experience working in the education sector working with CEOs, Boards of Directors and teams at all levels helping them realise strategic goals. Emily has extensive experience spanning strategy design and implementation, cultural change, sales and marketing, product management and is also a first class programme manager.
During her career Emily has helped define and deliver strategies in response to education and skills reform including Skills for Life, Functional Skills, GNVQs, A Levels, GCSEs, Apprenticeships and now Post 16 Skills. Emily has worked alongside individuals from leading consultancies and professional bodies including PWC, Ashridge Business School, Bain, BPS, RSC to name but a few.
More recently Emily worked on behalf of the Board at OCR, one of the UKs leading Awarding Bodies, programme managing an organisation wide strategic review and subsequent change programme and activity based costing exercise. She went on to set up and lead OCR’s central strategy function specialising in horizon scanning and reporting directly to the CEO on opportunity and risk.
Emily is CIM qualified and an experienced product manager, adept at researching and understanding customer need, co-ordinating internal cross function responses and launching products and services to market with strong and compelling propositions. She has an impressive track record in accelerating growth and market share in new, underperforming and niche sectors.
With a passion for leadership and market foresight, Emily is adept at helping organisations build and implement dynamic strategies. In her spare time Emily is a school governor and pupil premium lead in Cambridgeshire.
